Microsoft Amalga was an enterprise health information platform that unified clinical, financial, and operational data from disparate hospital systems into a single, near real-time view. Originating as the Azyxxi system at Washington Hospital Center and acquired by Microsoft in 2006, it evolved into the Amalga Unified Intelligence System (with a Hospital Information System variant) used by health systems to surface longitudinal patient records, dashboards, and analytics without replacing existing EMRs. Amalga aggregated data from sources such as EMRs, PACS, laboratory and pharmacy systems, and billing, supporting faster information retrieval, quality reporting, research, and population health workflows. In 2012, major components transitioned into Caradigm, a joint venture between Microsoft and GE Healthcare, and the Amalga brand was subsequently retired.

Microsoft Amalga is developed by Microsoft. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 1.0 and 1.5. The name of the program executable file is Microsoft.Azyxxi.UI.exe.
